I believe I have thoroughly disgusted anyone who might have visited my site seeing as Eric and I are the only souls brave enough to take the plunge and add our votes to the poll. That or the rest of you are using Netscape 4 and the CSS isn’t getting rendered correctly. Either way, all I know is that I’m really tired caused I painted for 11 hours today. Yes, eleven hours of painting on a Saturday. I’m a masochist. Since I painted so long, more than one song was stuck in my head. Unfortunately, one of these was Limp Bizkit again. Goddamnit. Fred Durst needs to rot in H-E-double-hockey-sticks for getting that doggone crap stuck in my noggin. Among the other songs were some Metallica, Mousse T., Beatles, and one of those really crappy poppy rock songs that came out around senior year in high school. Maybe not BNL, but something along those lines. I’m probably gonna crash pretty soon here. Dead tired. Whoo.

Well, I did some PHP/MySQL hackin’, and got a poll up and running. I wonder how many people are actually gonna take the time to click the little circle and push the button… It’ll be interesting. The first question, although sick and disturbing, pays homage to a line from Wayne’s World.

Unfortunately, I had Limp Bizkit stuck in my head while painting today. That’s what I get for watching MTV before I go to work, I suppose…

You know sometimes you’ll read/hear something that’s written/said so much better than you could actually put it, but sums up pretty much exactly what you feel like? The last couple posts in this fine weblog are exactly that.

Wow. If Episode II is half as cool as this, I’ll be pretty damn happy. (And it should be, considering this is supposedly based on reliable information, whatever that is…) Looks like we’ll see some character growth in Anakin and Amidala. I just hope Obi Wan isn’t a freaking tool like he was in TPM… But regardless, Yoda kicking some ass will be all worth it.

Song that was stuck in my head while painting today: actually fluctuated between: Bill Murray - Star Wars and John Williams - Leia’s Theme

Well, I just watched Star Wars Episodes I and IV back-to-back. With them together like that, I could see even more the suckiness of The Phantom Menace’s characters. Let’s do a rundown of the characters from each film:

    • Luke Skywalker - naive and kinda whiny, but brave as hell and full of excitement
    • Han Solo - brash, reckless, smart, and kinda charming in his own little Han way
    • Princess Leia - all the grace and elegance of a ruler, but with a real gung ho attitude and a smartass mouth to boot </ul> And...
      • Qui-Gon Jinn - always calm and serious, only deviation seems to be when he's macking it on Anakin's mom
      • Obi-Wan Kenobi - always calm and serious, only deviation seems to be when Qui-Gon gets killed and he kicks some ass
      • Queen Amidala - always calm and serious (and hot as hell), only deviation seems to be when this 10-year old boy turns her on and makes her giggle
      • Anakin Skywalker - obnoxious little boy that tries to lower his voice and sound all calm and serious. You haven't reached puberty yet, kid. Quit trying to act like you have. </ul> Jar Jar, Palpatine, and Yoda are the only interesting characters in the damn movie. And we all want to shoot Jar Jar. If only they'd deleted the Jar Jar scenes and added some **gasp** character development. My fingers are crossed that Anakin/Amidala in Episode II will have a fraction of the chemistry that Han/Leia did in the first three...
Oh, next time you watch A New Hope, look out for the scene where the stormtroopers enter the little control room by the Death Star docking bay where R2 and C3PO have been hiding out. The rightmost trooper bonks his head on the door. It's classic.
