Well, I’ve got a Geek Code as of yesterday. What else do I need to truly have a geek webpage? Aha! My Linux screenshot!!! I’m running WindowMaker with a predominantly red theme I designed in Gimp and of course the pic of Jen and me in the background. :) Yeah, I know, it’s only 800x600. I’ve only got a 15-inch monitor. But I like it that way. For one thing, my desk in my dorm room is cramped enough already, and I’m used to 15-inchers. Whenever I use a 17-inch, it feels so big. Ick.
Oh poo. I realized that I deleted the April Fool's Day Part Deux news item. It's all cause I mirror this page at my pubweb account. Maybe I won't do that anymore. Keep my personal page running off my box and just leave the pubweb account with my Flash and calc pages or something. But my box isn't on all the time. But who even goes to my page? Has anyone ever even been here? The only link I know to it is the squirrel.avi from Andrew's page. And I don't even have the actual movie anymore--it's just a text file with a little message. **evil snicker** So yeah, whatever. Hmm, maybe I should incorporate more than one html file at some point. Or I could just keep adding to this, until it's like many many megs. Hehe. Okay,Nwhatever. Maybe I should get some sleep or something.

Wow, it’s been a while since I’ve done anything with this page. A whole week, wow! Well, anyways, I was killing time tonight (this morning?) and decided to finally do that Geek Code thing. So here it is:

Well, I’m not playing any April Fool’s jokes. How boring, huh? Hmm, I could pretend like I was hacked or something like every other site out there… The only pimp one I’ve seen is google.com. Pretty damn funny if you ask me. I wonder how many people fell for it. I’m sure I would’ve if I hadn’t been told about it beforehand on IRC. Just like I fell for that “Your monitor can take your picture!!” crap and you get the monkey. :P Yeah, I know–I’m dumb.
Well, anyways, I finally got Apache working in Linux. Pretty pimp, huh? This is running off of my puter. Well, that is if you're reading it at profzoom.dhs.org, that is. If you're reading it at pubweb.nwu.edu, then it's not. :P Hmmm. I probably should keep you guys happy with something funny or some crap like that right? Well fine. Let me go look for something. Be back in a few... Although actually to you, it'll be immediately cause this is all in the past. Sheesh.
Alright, back. Somethingawful.com's always a good place to go for some yucks. (Er, yuks I suppose, you know, in the laughing sense, not yucks like goatse.cx or anything which I'm not going to a href cause it's just downright nasty.) So here we go: this. It's pretty darn funny. Alright, well I might go to bed soon. I dunno. It's 3:30 AM. Good ol' late night dicking around in Linux. Whoot. Damn, I tend to ramble a lot in these wee hours.

Funny link o’ the day. From this website I got this little gem:
What are you doing?
I don't want to look at that!

Back at school. Whoot. Well, I notice that many of my friends have put interesting quotes in their AOL Instant Messenger profiles, so I decided to add one of my favorite quotes to mine:
Ray Stantz:
Gozer the Gozerian! Good evening! As a duly designated representative of the state, county and city of New York, I order you to cease any and all supernatural activity and return forthwith to your place of origin or to the nearest convenient parallel dimension!
Peter Venkman:
That ought to do it. Thanks very much, Ray.And that ought to do it for me tonight. I'm pooped. Go sleep!

Whooohoo! The Big Ten totally pimped up tonight (last night, whatever, don’t you hate when it’s after midnight and you’re not really sure whether it’s still today or if it’s tomorrow?) Yeppers. That Wisconsin game was totally amazing. Never seen defense like that before. Wow.
Anyways, check this page out. It's really interesting. How to save the comic book industry. Unfortunately, there's not much we can do as consumers, other than of course buy more comics. :) Seems like it's mostly up to the companies themselves, especially the parent companies. Time Warner gets so much money off of merchandising Batman and Superman, but they seem to care diddly about where the characters originated. I really like the article's idea of making sure comics are in grocery stores, drugstores, et cetera. That's where I bought my first several issues of the Flash, at Cub Foods. Poor Cub Foods, got bought out by Kroger. Miss that place. But yeah, if it weren't for Cub Foods carrying comics, I doubt I'd be collecting the Flash now. Cause I knew the Flash from the TV show, and I was like, hey, I know this guy! I'll buy the comic. But these days, you have to go to comic book stores. It never would have occured to me back then to walk into a comic book store and buy an issue of the Flash. It wasn't until a couple years later when I went to SHOCC Comics with my middle school comic book collecting club that I really even realized the existence of comic book stores. And now it's a dying industry, kept barely alive by adults rather than the kids they're intended for. I'm 19 and when I go to comic book conventions, I feel like the youngest person there. It's odd.
